Yes, but is still nice to have a concensus when asking for opinions or advice, which is what is happening when people "This" a post.


yep. If I'm asking advice and a poster replies with opinion - it could just be some wacko but if there's a bunch of others that "this" the post, I will give it more weight and consider it - especially if it's an opinion that disagrees with mine -

I support "this". It is the most succint way to agree completely with another post. If an OP is looking for advice and lots of "this" es agree with a particular post, then s/he may wish to give that advice more consideration. It's the sames as ITA, +1, or "I agree with this poster".
