You have GOT to be kidding! That car is about as hideous and agressive and nasty looking and plain old NOT tasteful as it gets. Besides, who uses the term "bourgeois" to describe car? If you do not understand why people drive European upper end luxury cars instead of American cars, then you have likely never driven one. The quailty is vastly superior. I drive an Amerucan SUV, husband has a BMW sedan and, his is wayyyyy nicer to drive. I dont drive one because my car is much more practical for gobs of dirty soccer/football/lax/field hockey players to pile into after a muddy practice. But, I still certainly understand WHY people perfer these models. When it comes to cars, you usually get what you pay for (basically except the Range Rover as noted above which offers nothing but looks to warrant the pricetag).
1 plus with the chevy eqinox is that when I sold my fridge a guy was able to fit it in the vehicle and close the trunk. That was amazing.

In NWDC the first facelift is in the 40s - darling. It is a mini and done after already having used botox since one's 20s. It is all about prevention and mini-steps so it looks more natural. A face-lift in the 50s screams "I had work done!!" which is sooo not done.

Ha! So true. Several moms in Georgetown drive these. Once you get up to 3 kids---it is often the best option out there.

From my observations, the "official" DCUM mom car is a Honda Odyssey. It cuts across class lines, neighborhood boundaries, and the public-private divide.

I don't know if you bothered to read that article before posting the link, but it says:
"The plan is for engines from Decherd to be used in Mercedes C-Class sedans that will be built at Daimler's Tuscaloosa, Ala. plant."
This thread is about the "E-Class". The E-Class is manufactured in Bremen, Germany.
I'm posting this just for the sake of accuracy. I don't think it is a big deal where it is produced. I've been to the BMW factory in South Carolina and was very impressed. I'd have no problem selecting an American-made BMW over one manufactured in Germany.
