I always wonder on Property Brothers whether people actually know which show they are on beforehand. They always seem so angry about the dream home they can't afford.
You should browse the Television Without Pity forums. The "contractor" brother is apparently a magician, and one or both were underwear models. I don't think I can believe anything I see on HGTV anymore.

Anonymous wrote:House Hunters, My First Place, Property Virgins. I love when they say they can not live in a house without stainless steel appliances & granite countertops. I swear stainless steel appliances are going to be like the advocado green appliances of the 60s/70s. Just once I'd love to hear someone say "we'll have to cover up this wood floor with carpet." Or "too bad, stainless steel, I was hoping for white appliances."

there was one on the other day outside of charlotte where it was a 23 year old kid with his mom as the agent. They made me want to throw things at the TV.

My husband wants to BE Mike Holmes. We actually looked into having him come to check out our 40+ year old home we purchased recently. We found some awful things while renovating the kitchen, and are terrified of what else we might find in the coming years.
I love HGTV and it's sister network, DIY. Have you seen Renovation Realities? That show is awesome, especially when they injure themselves...or wind up sleeping on the couch!
