Very funny! I was 27 when I left the Hill and had just broken into 6 figures. Left the Hill for lobbying too. I am now 29.

I'm a Psychologist (doctoral) who will probably reach 6 figures in another 4 years, when I will be 38. I didn't start working as a licensed psychologist until I was 32 and I work for local govt so I guess that's not too bad. I am over 6 figures if I count loan repayment, for which I am extremely grateful.

to the 34 year old teacher, where / what do you teach?!? Principal? Administrator? A million private piano lessons on the side? Step 5 in FCPS with all credits to a PhD, I made $54K. I think the scale would have topped out with the PhD completed around $90K.

30 BIG LAW. But that was 20 years ago. I've since switched careers to psychologist, and it will be a while before I crack six figures again (if ever). But, I do like my job.
