Yes there's a reservoir and pretty deep, too. You didn't know?! The fact you didn't even know speaks volume on how much (little) the expertise is. The group is Chinese Language Teachers Association at National Capital Region. Google it, look it up, do whatever.

Ooops sorry, I thought we were talking about Wilson.

Carry on.

Happy to settle for just one of these.

The principal at Barnard is awesome and the front desk staff are always pleasant, they remember your child's name and are quick with help when you stop by the desk. We have been pleased with our last two teachers, hope our lucky streak continues. Selfishly hope they don't ship our principal off to some more needy school to fix it up.

The kids are expected to speak the language half the time. This includes lunch, recess, etc. I guess they could just ignore her and not speak to her every other day. :p

Let's take a different look. If the principal doesn't understand the language as well as the culture and the challenges/nuances the native-speaking teachers face, how do we expect her to understand the issues, begin to solve problems and lead effectively?

I am so sick of the whiners, complainers, and fake persecution complex regarding YY.

I think that's the issue. The principal in question is not an effective leader. The language complaints are just piling on, but somewhat understandable in a school where dissent only happens on DCUM.
