singing the anthem and waving the flag and thanking military is OK. That is done all over.
A politician coming there to promote his image and do a bit of campaigning, that has a clear political motive.
The other stuff is neutral
People are at nascar. If they want to listen to politicians they can do so at the events organized and funded by them

Please explain how that makes sense? Something is either political or it's not. Unless, of course, you are engaging in the typical Republican hypocrisy where something is totally different when done by GOPers than it is when done by Dems.

As a side note. Africans fought during world war 2. This has just been sidelined by historians. But the last count I heard was from BBC that it is estimated that about 1 million Africans fought in that war.
And my take on this issue is. Why do politicians come to sporting events, if it is not to do political campaigning.
So I agree with them. Sport should be kept separate from politics. Let the politicians do their campaigns on their own time, not take advantage of a politics free event
Is it a politics-free event when they are honoring the military? Or playing "God Bless America"?
