When you had that installed was it during a kitchen reno? I am curious if anyone has installed a wider 36" stove in lieu of a 30" when the kitchen is already in place

We did a 3 story addition when we added it.

"There are some limitations on the type of cookware, you can use but induction cooking has significant benefits as well - worth looking at."

Can you use cast-iron pans on it?

Yes. You can use any pans that are magnetic. Cast iron and stainless steel work. Anodized aluminum does not.

If you want something different try LaCanche.

LaCanche is an amazing stove - I almost bought one but ended up with Cornufe - french stove - dual fuel - two ovens, five burners doesn't take up a ton of space, is beautiful and cooks great. I can fit 10 racks of cookies in at a time if I'm in one of those modes

I love my LaCanche. It truly make cooking a pleasure. And the warming oven is amazing. DHs dinner is always hot when he comes home and I'm actually able to serve hot food on hot plates for larger gatherings.
