Subject: what is your favorite restaurant in downtown bethesda?
Penang is not closed contrary to an earlier poster's comment.
My favorites are Bacchus, Tako Grill, Raku and Mia's. Does anyone know if Haandi has re-opened yet?

Houston's Woodmont Grill.
Consistently good food, very good customer service and they are very welcoming and nice to kids.

Rio is perfect for a dinner with kids. You can eat indoors or out, food is great, margaritas are delicious, and the noise level drowns out the racket your kids are making. LOVE that place.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Cluck You was ubiquitous at colleges up and down the Eastern Seaboard. UMD wasn't special.
Bethesda truly is a food wasteland.
