I am using Chase and they "improve" their bill pay system and now it leaves a lot to be desired. I really don't understand why they changed it as the old system was so much better. I have several checking accounts and I cannot see a scheduled payments summary per checking account. They mix all payments from all the accounts together in a way that you cannot know how much left is in your account at glance. If you have only one account and a few payments, it may work for you but if you have more than one account and many payees, run. Another thing is that you cannot be sure how many payments you have left when you scheduled a repeating payment. I clicked on repeating payments and it showed one payment left. Then I went to the payee itself and it shows three, one "in process" another one "pending" and the other one scheduled for later. I simply hate their new system!! I am looking for another bank right now, one with a better bill pay system.

I too have a problem with BoA - after having an issue with a bank error that cost me $1,000, and having Customer Service lie to me, I wrote a letter of complaint - the response was - "We apologize that there was an error on our part. Please accept our apology." I was appalled.

I do like their bill pay system - and am trying to find something comparable.

Two questions for Navy Fed people, My father was in the guard (now since passed), what do I need to prove I am eligible to join? Also, if you were to move away from the DC area (say out west) would you keep them or do a more local bank?

We use Library of Congress FCU. They're great! Anyone who lives or works in DC can use them.

Overall the bank has issues and will put holds on large deposits -you have to be careful with them but I agree with you - the online bill pay is AAA+. I've used it for over 10 years and love it. It has every feature you could ever ask for and I have never had a problem with customer service though the online bill pay system is so good there is very little chance there will be any reason to call customer service about it. I HIGHLY recommend B. of A. online bill pay!


appearently, you have not tried better banks so u never know what they are missing
