what a terrible life lesson
Not at all when you have a witch as a teacher.
Did all the kids in the class - with the same teacher - have their grade raised by admin? Or just OP’s (your?) kid? Have you shared this with all the other parents and/or students?
Didn’t think so.
OP here...because it was a razor thin difference, it made total sense for my kid. I believe there was probably others, and honestly, we didn't even bring it up initially. The college counselor working with my kid is the one who initiated it all, likely because this teacher is such a horrible person.

We even pointed her to the school magazine which showed that we were a top donor for three years running - AND STILL SHE DIDN'T budge. Adding insult to injury, in a meeting with the teacher and the HOS, the teacher said she had given my DC a break since she didn't take off for factual errors and a grammar problem. This is still an unresolved issue. Left with no other recourse, we are considering a lawsuit.
Nope. Don’t believe this.

Have your daughter use the situation to her advantage. One day it may become a great answer to a job interview question, a story about resilience, perspective, and handling disappointment with grace.

Did she get in to the dream school after she was gifted the higher grade?
