~15MM. I keep a pretty tightly curated designer handbag collection which currently consists of 3 Louis Vuitton, 2 Chanel, 1 Bottega Veneta, 1 Loewe, 1 Ferragamo, 1 The Row, and 1 Proenza Schouler for nostalgia’s sake. I’m waiting for an Hermes Mini Lindy, but otherwise have no particular desire for anything else.

You just don't know anything about luxury bags. There is a lot more to LV than the Neverfull.


I don't know why people think that only new money people where LV and the other brands. Of course they do. They also buy those handbags that are rare by those same designers. I don't like LV, but I don't think that people who carry them are broke or new money.


I think they've been watching too many influencers who are trying to sell them something..."Old Money people don't carry so-called luxury bags! LV screams new money! Old Money people know this one true secret to the perfect look -- buy this bag on my Amazon storefront!" lol.

DH makes about 500k per year and I make about 90k. We live in a lower cost of living area. I get bags off eBay and the real real at strap discounts. I have two lotuff bags, a fully leather Longchamp for day to day use , and three mulberry bags.

I have generally found anyone using the term new money typically did nothing but inherit wealth.
