I have a Perry Ellis sweater that I bought at Saks Jandel in 1980 when I was a teenager.

A pair of Doc Martens from high school that must be close to 35 years old now and still look and fit great.

Sadly my 1992 bean boots have now worn out —there’s no tread on the bottom and the store said they can’t retread them. Over 30 years was a good run I guess. The leather part is still so nice—I wish they’d recycle that!

I’m not that poster but when I was younger I sometimes wore the slip my great aunt wore to my grandmothers wedding in the 1920s (under a dress obviously) as just a slip dress. It was a gorgeous gold silk edged in lace. Their underwear was nicer than our actually stuff. She was a redhead so wanted a deep gold yellow for the dress.

I also have a nice suit that was hers from the 1940s that I used to sometimes wear. It’s very Rosalind Russell. She worked in the textile industry so had some nice stuff as she wouldn’t wear cheap textiles. I also have her Harris Tweed coat but I think that one might be from the 50s. I don’t really wear it because it’s so heavy but it’s incredibly well made. I do wear my mom’s wool trench coat from the late 1970s which feels very Faye Dunaway to me.

The one thing I have that is really really old that I’ve never worn is some hand made lace collars from the late 19th century that are just incredible handiwork. Occasionally I see something on a star that is similar and I want to think about putting the collar on something but I think I just wouldn’t have anyplace to wear something like that. I should give them to my stylish funky nieces.

A Leifsdottir dress I got when they first came out around 2008, I think.

Kind of funny story about this - I have a Tahari dress I bought almost 15 years ago for my daughter's baptism.

I wore it to an event last week and a woman I met there told me she has the same dress!

Well my daughter wore my college sweatshirt. I was like, well, everyone knows how old I am now...

I have 2 Chaus blouses I bought in 1979.

A tee shirt from college, from an organization I was involved in. I’m class of ‘00.

North Face jacket circa 2000. Occasionally my kids borrow the "vintage" find

I have a jacket I wear regularly from Lands End I bought in 1996. I like it so much that about 15 years ago I found the same exact one on eBay and bought it so I have a back up. I also have a few band T-shirts from the late 80s I still wear sometimes. Finally I have my Guess acid wash denim jacket circa 1988 that I begged my mom to buy for me, which she did, though she told me "Don't tell your father how much this cost." I don't really wear it but it's fun to still see in my closet.

I have a t shirt I bought my first week of college in 1999.

A gingham checked button down shirt from the Gap that I bought in 1988. The gap used to have amazing quality!
