It definitely isn’t coincidence. The committee behind the Israeli report offered for the NYT to report on the release the report a while ago. The NYT purposely published the flawed opinion piece the day before they knew the report was coming out and wanted to take away from the impact that this comprehensive and thorough report would have on the public. The Christoff piece is merely opinion. I don’t doubt that some sexual abuse has gone on against Palestinians and I condemn that wholeheartedly. Unfortunately some of Christoff’s sources are notoriously unreliable and his parroting of antizionist and antisemitic propaganda about the dogs and other things is unfortunate. In any case two things can be true at the same time. Any rapes or sexual abuse that Palestinians endured is horrific and must be addressed. The rapes, murders, dismembering, burnings and humiliations by Hamas against Jews, Muslims and Christians were horrific and must be addressed. Those stating that the report isn’t truthful haven’t read the report. You will know it is true if you read it. No one could make that stuff up.

Please. The Times was well aware this report was about to be released, which is why Kristof tried to get ahead of it with his opinion piece.

DP. The only evidence of rape is by Israelis. It was same gender and in Israeli concentration camps committed by the guards.
