I finished it.

Liked how it wrapped up in a way that was both unexpected but inevitable. I did feel this last episode dragged a bit, and it didn't have as much humor as some of the other episodes (or if it did, I'm missing the allusions). Although Dale coming into the room and screaming something like "This is a place of death!!!" was hilarious.

Best show I've watched all year for sure.

+1
I loved this show but was a little disappointed in the final episode, mainly because it wasn't as funny as all the previous eps. Of course, Ruth and her narration of the pictures and her life was pretty amusing. I knew who the very last descendant was going to be - how could it not be? Looking forward to Season 2.

So true - I thought they would approach it as Loftis was not actually Evan's real dad and there would be some reveal about the mom that would do this. But they accomplished the same thing a different way.

Dale really shone in this episode. Those videos were so messed up. I did feel some dragging parts but also some true LOL moments, like when Ruth ran up the stairs and when the tea took 23 minutes to brew.

I felt this episode dragged quite a bit compared to the others. It was still great tv, but because the rest had been so amazing I was a bit disappointed by how it dragged a bit.

I must have experienced some sort of transference -- we have a teen Evan's age -- because at the end of the finale I felt a palpable sadness. Matthew Rhys blew me away. It's a unique father son relationship and looking forward to seeing it play out in Season 2.

BTW, does anyone have a thought on whether Bechir's wife gave birth that day/night?
