W&L is the most selective college in VA. Even UVA is easier to get in.
For foreigners, sure. W&L gets a ton of applications from foreign students and admits almost none of them. So if you’re an international student, W&L is a harder admit. For Americans, UVA is more selective.
I’ve always heard it was harder to get into William and Mary.

And it costs twice as much.
False. W&M is $44,884 for in-state. UVA $42,000
The comparison was UVA vs W&L, not W&M. W&L is private, COA $90k

Only UVA has produced alumni who are significant in their achievements.
Only UVA has produced such utterly insecure alumni.
Stop falling for troll responses.
DP. It’s hard to believe that’s a troll when I’ve met so many UVA alums who act like that.

VCU BSMD?Anonymous wrote:I’m an alumna of a woman’s college. I hadn’t heard of Hollins and Sweet Briar before moving to this area. Both have a longstanding history of educating the daughters of wealthy Southerners. The latter almost closed, but then was revived by alumni. It also has a well regarded equestrian program.
My new boss is a graduate of Hampton. She’s very impresive. My doctor is a graduate of VCU. Also very successful.
