my kid would be confused.... she, like most preschoolers, eats cut up fruit all day long-- she wouldn't think oh yay- she'd probably forget to eat it like half the fruit in her school lunch box. just serve the fruit at the party

I think a russet potato would make a better favor. 15 years from now families will still be talking about it. Remember that party where Larla brought home a potato?

Are fruit allergies a thing? And if they are, the kid just won’t take it.

You can't be serious. Of course people have allergies to fruit!

Or a couple of unpeeled mandarin oranges.

That's a great idea. I also really love the idea of an individual sized watermelon. Or go with a minions theme and decorate bananas to look like minions.

Cut fruit goes bad really quickly, and can be a major source of germs. I think I'd probably throw it away.

It's really fine not to do any party favors, seriously. I've had to throw away a lot of small plastic stuff over the years.

I made fruit kebobs for an end of year party for kids. Easy and pretty inexpensive. If you want to stick one brownie bit or chocolate or Rice Krispie treat bite, I've done that too. Just wrap in nice wrapping with a ribbon.

I think it’s cute and liked the little bucket idea- but honestly my toddler would be happy with a painted rock or a stick with a bow on it. I really don’t see favors as necessary and we didn’t do them.
