I'm a man and I'll pursue woman I know are out of my league, even way out all the time. I'm not concerned about what they think of me. It's about my desire for them.

Women expect a man to make a good income, but also not work too much. This is a common delusion they have.

Most high incomes require long hours and high level of commitment. One of my friends who earns 7 figures is getting divorced because his wife doesn’t like his workaholism, yet the wife doesn’t work and enjoys spending his money

Hmmm, I think it’s less about what’s in your league and more about the amount of effort required. In which case, men are more delulu.

I’m 40 and put in the effort to maintain my appearance, make a solid income, can hold a conversation, have a solid OLD profile, show up looking nice for a date, and am willing to do my share to make a relationship work.

But I see far too many men who put in bare minimum effort yet still feel entitled to sex/a relationship. They look bad, dress badly, put a couple of terrible selfies on their profile with “just ask!” as their bio, don’t want to plan a date, don’t want to travel for a date, hell most of them don’t even want to go on an actual date. They want to look and act gross yet expect women to come to them to give them BJs.

Most of them would do just fine with women if they shaved, bought some nice clothes, and put some effort into dating.

Men, and it’s why they blame feminism for everything. They think they are entitled to a 25-year-old beautiful woman when they themselves are 55, bald and obese just because they have money. They hate that women don’t have to be financially dependent on men and they can choose a partner they are compatible with and attracted to, not just someone who can provide financially.

- someone who out-earns her husband and married for love, attraction, and commitment.

I don't know... The only delusional men are the incels who have given up interacting with women because they believe they are entitled to some sort of perfect woman. Most men ask as many viable women (a huge range in quality) as possible then settle into the best circumstances. You can't really be delusional when you are playing a numbers game where a woman on the high or low end of the scale might say yes.

“Research” mmhmmm

Yes, research. Anecdotes are just that.

There's "Research" that shows women are by far more picky too. You probably pick and choose which studies sound good to you and don't even bother to check the methodology. Yawn.

ok, but this thread isn't about being "picky" but about which side is more delulu. Seems like I hit a nerve with the study.

yawn yourself.

Yes, women. Very delusional about what they "deserve".

Yes, but men are conditioned to just go after anyone to see if they have a shot. Women are more picky, like the pp said.

Not always true. I ended up working in factory with bunch of illiterate immigrants. I also lived in very low income area. How the heck was I ever going to find a partner there. Even the one decent guy mistreated me.
After I got out, I had no idea how a good partner is supposed to behave.

I mean, you don't sound like a catch.

She got out

DP. Yes, good, as to be expected. The consequences of ending up with their child having a dud for the other parent is far higher.

Actually, seeing the low lifes women reproduce with makes me think men are more picky.

I had a guy coworker for 3 years who wasn’t hot, though very good looking, but he had intangible qualities that really grew on me to the point where I finally realized he might be the one. I made a very serious first move and it worked! Later he said he thought I was out of his league. He was so wrong. You need to decide what the league is.

+100

I have a feeling many people quietly believe my DH is out of my league. But has worked for us so I dgaf

Men, it's why they fall for honeypots all the time and women very rarely do.
