Corruption is corruption, but sure, keep grading levels of corruption. There should be zero tolerance for corruption in government especially once it's unearthed. It doesn't matter if it's Democrats or Republican. Corruption is corrosive to democracy.

I don't think anyone thinks Vance is what we "need" or ideally would want, but it would be a major shakeup to the MAGA movement and cult, which is really based on a devotion to Trump. I don't think any of us know what that really looks like after he is out, whether forced or through death, but they are going to have to rearrange the chairs on the Titanic to some extent. Vance has no charisma and I don't get the impression MAGA is itching for him as the heir apparent either. He also blows with the wind and is kind of an unknown. I mean, I amd never voting R and hate them both but I'd like to get the party started with a post Trump Republican party and am willing to roll the dice on Vance being both a lame duck after the midterms and a little less...erratic and horrible.

The only way it would happen is if the American people got so enraged, they started acting like the French during the French Revolution. As in after the king, they start taking the heads off the other rich nobles.

Until those other rich nobles sense that their own necks are threatened, they will stick to Trump. He’s making them a ton of money. And so far the Americans are showing little signs that they intend to hold the billionaire right wing accountable.
