There is a thread on reddit about it
I have seen this online but also seen that it’s fake. Regardless, it doesn’t explain why the whole show has been off the air and what type of announcement will be made tomorrow at 7am. If it is true, I am sorry for Diane, but she would take leave and the show would continue.
No one has said the show will not continue. This isn’t some random coworkers spouse that passed away, they’ve all known each other for decades, and everyone on the show was impacted.
But it has been off the air.
Have you never lost someone close to you? Think about what you’re saying here. You think they would just be on the air today acting like nothing is wrong and not addressing why Diane is not there? Are you even human?
Why are you so insulting? When did I say they wouldn’t address why Diane wasn’t there? I have lost both my parents.
While I took leave, everyone else in my workplaces continued working.
NP here.
You must not listen to the show regularly, which is fine. This is how the show runs...
If one person needs to be out, the entire show is typically off. Sometimes they make an exception for Kristen, since she is back-room. E's kids moved into the college? They were off. Diane's daughter moved to college... they were off. Tyler had a colonoscopy many years ago... they were off.
The only real exception I can think of, in recent years, was Kristen's honeymoon, when Josh (I think) subbed in for her.
It's pretty clear that E views them as "a unit" and not "a combination of people."
