People like for similarities, so whether there is intention or not is almost beside the point. I have three girls and they all have names with different linguistic roots and familial throwbacks and are all phonetic and not tied to one country or region ethnically. My oldest daughter’s name is the middle band of my husband’s grandmother, our middle daughter’s name is a nickname for his grandfather’s first name - which is also his middle name, and our youngest daughter’s name is the Greek version of our oldest daughter’s name but sounds nothing like our oldest daughter’s name. We took a lot of care with first and middle names and how the names would sound together. Even so, the first thing my MaiL said when we told her my youngest daughter’s name was: “So glad it doesn’t end with a” since our two older girls’ names ended in a. We weren’t trying to be cute about our older kids’ names, but apparently that is how it came across to her, Since you can’t “win” when it comes to interpretation you should do whatever you want.
