We accepted the offer from a new club. The tryout for the current club is not in few weeks. Maybe we'll tell them after the season is over

I don't recommend this unless you trust the coach. The club has no obligation to release your player card once you have committed for the season. When I was a team manager, the TD/coach did this to a few kids who suddenly wanted to transfer to a rival club. They held those kids player cards hostage and refused to release them to the new club.


If you are switching from say ECNL to MLS, it doesn't matter. If you are switching from ECNL to ECNL, then you get the state board involved.
