Followers ≠ friends. Don't equate the two. The dude seems moderately social, not a recluse, had a good job, friends, traveled... but still a ticking time bomb.
His socials do seem off. More appropriate for a socially-awkward 20 y.o. than a grown man.

Many of the news articles out right now are positioning this as a road rage incident.
That seems crazy to me - who has a large knife in their car that they then decide to use to stab people.
