Coming from DCPS public middle, not Deal
Unhooked, legacy at one of these
Grades: Straight A grades
Test scores: GDS Maret and Sidwell don't accept tests - no HSPT, ISEE, or SSAT required (GDS looked at DCPS test scores including CAPE and MAP, Maret no tests, Sidwell administered their own test)
Got in to all 3
I guess choosing Sidwell?
Why is that? I like Maret out of those 3.
I like GDS out of those. Will be interesting to see what GDS selects.
OP of that post - DC says GDS is first choice but shadow day is next week so we will see!

That’s odd. Where did she apply? Was she coming from public, private or Catholic school?
Public.
Perhaps the red flag was that we inquired about a sports waiver.

I think it was. From our Catholic K-8, historically only kids with extreme disciplinary issues would get rejected from any of the diocesan schools. This year at least two girls who are good students with no disciplinary issues were rejected by BI. They’re not Catholic, but that was never an issue in the past.
