Why don’t you and your wife alternate days are working out? It seems like a no-brainer question.

I did a 5 am boot camp 2 days a week, a light gym workout 1 lunch a week or Wednesday after work and Saturday am.

Does your gym have a daycare?

My spouse and I each had 1 night a week, mine bring Wednesday that we came home after bedtime was over.

During that time I would run errands, read a book at the park, workout or go to happy hour.

I’m assuming you already have to shower and change when you get to work because you biked there? Could you arrive at work 30 minutes early and go to the gym then?

You are up for 3 hours before work.

Who goes to work at 9? What a bum.

My office has a gym and we have a gym a 10 minute walk from our house as well

My question is, how do people handle going to the gym when they have an office job and a little one at home?

Or do people just not?

My schedule as it stands is the following:

6 am: wake up, get ready

7 am: baby wakes up, get ready with baby, breakfast

8:30 am: daycare classroom opens. Drop off baby then bike to work

9 am: work starts

4-5 pm: work ends, bike home

4:30 pm: wife picks up baby from daycare

6 pm: baby bedtime

It feels that right now, at least until he has a later bedtime, I don’t really have a chance to stay at the gym at work if I want to actually spend time with my child after daycare

How do others manage it? Or is the gym on pause for people until the baby reaches a different stage of development? (This is one of the reasons I bike to work, it’s the only reliable exercise I can get)

You must work at the mall.

Workout at home! There are lots of great workout channels on YouTube. Get some weights/resistance bands etc. I fell in love with working out at home after my son was born and 7 years later it's still how I workout.

This is essentially what I do. I wake up at 4:30, work out in my basement, and then get ready for the day.

I have older children. There’s no way I can make it to a gym or even work out in the basement during the evenings. There are too many other things that need my attention.
