Better to tear gas the kids and punish them, than for people to die.
You clearly care about their potential victims. Their parents and some posters here don't care what these "children" are doing.
These children are the victims of a society that excluded them and doesn't make time for them.

Maybe a social worker should have responded to this peaceful protest instead?
Yes. Kind, gentle, calming words make all the difference to these young people playing in the street. Don't touch them, tear gas them, or arrest them. They're just children.
They are babies. If we had sufficient wraparound services these kinds of things wouldn't be happening.

If they arrest the kids, it will likely require force, like wrestling them to the ground for which they'll be sued. If they come out with guns and God forbid, shoot anyone, they're accused of killing children. But how do you actually stop this? Tear gas? Wait for the kids to leave and do detective work over social media hoping to catch kids dumb enough to post videos of this?
I have no family members or friends in law enforcement so I don't know what the procedures are. And it's frustrating watching the video of the cop car essentially driving around doing nothing.
You want the police to TEAR GAS children for nuisance behavior? Shame on you.
