Anonymous wrote:Sounds like you may be the mommy and daddy doing it all for the kid. Your tonality stinks of insecurity. Make sure you call the coach DP! That will get your child across the line. At the end of the day the times speak for themselves. Dressing trash around trash is still trash.

Why would a coach care if a kid does not care, or is to lazy and arrogant, to engage with them? Sending times is the easiest part and if you fail at that, you are done.

That’s not even necessary. If host teams are submitting meet results directly to SWIMS, college coaches will see them.
Some of these comments are likely coming from 14&u parents who think colleges start tracking their kid if they briefly crack the top 500 nationally in their age group in any event.

I know him. He is a fantastic person. He has trained countless officials. He is at a meet every weekend. He has an amazing work ethic. I am stunned that the PVS board decided to replace him. The PVS website was vastly better than most LSC sites.
Bring back the old webmaster!!!
I don't even know him, but the screed left on the PVS website when he left makes me seriously question his judgement and maturity. It was said that he refused to implement changes required by PVS-- that's not okay.
So the solution was to hire someone who does not do the job? That seems crazy. PVS has made a series of bad calls recently.
Right…I’m not that deep into the drama and frankly don’t really care who the webmaster is or what the website looks like. But current situation is not working for me at all.
DC is a HS junior and trying to get recruited. I just want results and result files posted to the website quickly. That’s it. I can deal with a layout as is, don’t need changes. Just need the information.
I manage government websites and can’t image telling a customer we’re changing personnel and sorry we can’t make any updates right now. They should have had more people cross trained so others can pick up the role while a new person comes in. And the new person better step up quickly.
And just like that results are posted for last weekend....
Including the meet with her swimmers’ results. As long as her swimmers keep swimming everything will be fine.
