You need to figure out what you want him to do. Then have a discussion without accusing. Just say you enjoy having him there, but you forgot to set some parameters. Make him part of the discussion. How often do you want him doing dishes? making dinners for everyone? Cleaning toilets? Figure it out and be ready to negotiate what works for the system.

Does your husband help around the house? I’m wondering is he sees Mom as the housekeeper because that’s the way the household has been running. If so, you need to give TWO men some responsibilities. If DH does help, then getting DS to step up is a natural thing.
