No. Administrative offices only. If you're 10-month staff, stay home.

Ok thank you!

Can someone please clarify is teachers have to report tomorrow? The second email was confusing to me.

I sent them a bunch of work to do but I doubt they are doing it.

Thanks, but my kid has received nothing from her AP teachers.

No syllabus with a weekly reading quiz list? Seems like you could Google one if your kid really didn’t get one

Why don’t you share a reliable Google source if you think it’s so easy for parents to randomly source curricula for college-level courses.

Shifted to orange. Schools closed to everyone.

When did that email or text come out. I don’t see it on the mcps website.

Staff got a “clarifying” email. Grades are due when school is open…likely Tuesday.

So what are they having you do?

The announcement is pretty clear that everyone needs to report to their normal worksite.

The announcement I saw said staff. In education, staff is a separate category from teachers/faculty.

Not for MCPS

We typically use staff to mean non-professional school employees: building services, secretaries, etc.

No, we don't in mcps. Staff meetings are for teachers, staff development teacher, staff training, new staff meeting during pre service week, staff pictures, all things that refer to teachers.

The tone of that email very much suggested that someone got to them and was like "the status in that first message you put out isn't a thing. Try again."
