Kids in my neighborhood are building forts and walls and igloo out of bricks of snow. I grew up in Maryland and while I remember massive storms in the past, this kind of deep layers of ice is very rare. My lawn looks like an exploded iceberg. Very geometric.

Are you looking for a gotcha? My friend in Sterling hasn’t seen a single plow in her neighborhood. Ive seen the videos and pictures.

You have to use a metal garden spade shove or flat metal shovel to break the ice into chunks then clear the broken up ice.

Unfortunately, many people in these area don’t have a garden, yard, or any place to store these tools, but they still have to dig their car out of a parking spot.

This area is different than others. My cousins in
NY used to call us soft whenever it snowed. Then years back they were here when it snowed and they finally got it. This area ain't like others when it comes to snow over 5/6 inches.

I live in a Pittsburgh suburb. We had 15 inches of snow on Sunday which was fairly close to the predicted amount. Shoveling was hard, but I went out every few hours. Roads were in very good shape by Monday afternoon. For the people who have kids at Pitt, I saw tv footage of kids sledding down cardiac hill.
