The bill in question includes DHS funding, along with funding for the departments of Defense; Labor, Health and Human Services and Education; Transportation and Housing and Urban Development; State; and Treasury. These are the agencies that would be shut down.

Yes but they can’t because the House passed the bills and left town. Just like last time. We don’t live in the land of reasonable approaches or compromise anymore.

A reasonable approach here would be to do a 7-14 day CR and hammer out a compromise. I doubt that happens though.
