Son came to her a week or so ago. Girl he was dating told him she was pregnant did not know how long. Went to Planned Parenthood and other clinic. Turns out she was 32+ weeks. Had baby few days later 6 pounds 4 oz. Surprise! This was less than a week ago per OP.
In NICU supposedly for week or two but now coming home "before snow " In DMV that means now. Huge storm coming.

OP all excited eager to be grandmother, all in.
Son has MD dad no longer married to OP who is skeptical it is a 32 week crypto pregnancy. Got son lawyer. We think he is getting paternity test.

Many posts from PPs including me in other thread wondering if she knew she was pregnant much earlier. Glad his Dad is cautious. If it's his son has to pay support, but it's not clear at all they were even cohabitation let alone headed to marriage. She lived with mother. Had not told mother anything.



A) is it confirmed it's the same OP and B) if OP needs to give help. If it turns out that it's not his kid worst case she bought some stuff for a baby who needed help. She refuses to give help and it is his kid, she will potentially sabotage her relationship with the family long term.


Yes in Adult Children What do you say thread she confirmed she was also posting here.

The thing is, when she started that she said she told her son she would support him whatever he wanted to do.

Then she switched to supporting the mid twenties young woman and baby, leaving her ex to support son, get lawyer, etc.

Nobody is saying here not to buy stuff. But it's not clear what the long term situation is other than child support even assuming it's her biological grandson. She is offering a lot of help. She doesn't want to lose the child.

But truly it's a potentially ambiguous situation with respect to who knew what, when they knew it, and what the paternity situation really is.

OP is very invested in it being her son's child.

If somebody did a GoFundMe link would contribute. But I am dubious about the facts of the situation and think they should be clarified.

Sure. But one of the best things someone brought me post-partum with my first was this chocolate loaf cake that I literally ate in chunks I ripped off as I passed by it in the kitchen. I was starving and holding the baby constantly.

I'd go with a DoorDash gift card. Food delivery can be so expensive, that I never would have used it. But having other people fund our door dash was really helpful and we used every penny.

I'd normally agree with this but what a terrible weekend. I hope her parents can come to town or something or that she has things frozen because there is no way anyone is getting door dash.

But yes, any other weekend I would just say go to Amazon and email an e-gift card for DoorDash or Uber.

I am interested in knowing where Kevin will live after hospital discharge. In the prior post, it is mentioned that girlfriend lived with her Mom and Grandma. And son lived in house owned by his father. Wasn't a roommate mentioned? So many questions.

It is my son's child, I feel so sure about it I texted her my sons SS number dob and place of birth this morning because they got discharged today ahead of the snow

It would have been an incredible leap of confidence in a plan to avoid all prenatal care only to have a preterm birth and blame it all on my son. Who would choose any of the last week. Like HFS who would do this and have an actual baby be the fulcrum of the scam in the age of immediate dna
