If she was mistaken or lying he has the right to know
Even with no money at all.
You can still be an honorary granny but come on.
The baby is in the NICU, only a psycho would be prioritizing paternity testing right now.
Baby is coming home before snow. Try to keep up.
Still deranged behavior. The idea that OP would withhold care from her grandkid, starting off the relationship that way, for a paternity test, is deranged and going to alienate her from her son.
PP here summarizing.
Need to read both threads.
Son came to her a week or so ago. Girl he was dating told him she was pregnant did not know how long. Went to Planned Parenthood and other clinic. Turns out she was 32+ weeks. Had baby few days later 6 pounds 4 oz. Surprise! This was less than a week ago per OP.
In NICU supposedly for week or two but now coming home "before snow " In DMV that means now. Huge storm coming.
OP all excited eager to be grandmother, all in.
Son has MD dad no longer married to OP who is skeptical it is a 32 week crypto pregnancy. Got son lawyer. We think he is getting paternity test.
Many posts from PPs including me in other thread wondering if she knew she was pregnant much earlier. Glad his Dad is cautious. If it's his son has to pay support, but it's not clear at all they were even cohabitation let alone headed to marriage. She lived with mother. Had not told mother anything.
A) is it confirmed it's the same OP and B) if OP needs to give help. If it turns out that it's not his kid worst case she bought some stuff for a baby who needed help. She refuses to give help and it is his kid, she will potentially sabotage her relationship with the family long term.

Sure. But one of the best things someone brought me post-partum with my first was this chocolate loaf cake that I literally ate in chunks I ripped off as I passed by it in the kitchen. I was starving and holding the baby constantly.
So. YMMV.
I'd go with a DoorDash gift card. Food delivery can be so expensive, that I never would have used it. But having other people fund our door dash was really helpful and we used every penny.

Anonymous wrote:How can this be the OP of the other thread. The other thread said that her son came to her and told her his girlfriend was pregnant a week ago. But according to this the girlfriend was not pregnant a week ago, she was several weeks postpartum.
Also, this thread says she didn't know she was pregnant till she was in active labor, that it was a "surprise baby", but in the other thread it says that they had an appointment at planned parenthood.

You can still support the woman and baby but it matters a lot wrt your son's future and her veracity.
