You’re the pp who thinks your $90k starting salary negates the statistic that the average starting salary range is $30k-$50k? And you took stats and calculus? And passed? Grade inflation must have been rampant at that school of yours.

more and more, kids do what they did as an intern after junior year, which is often set up by sophomore year summer internship.

tell me where they're interning this summer. more important than major

This model is pre-2025. Things are already very different.

I've had that thought on history vs political science as well! Political science seems more well regarded, but History majors are more intelligent in my own experience.

It's a great degree, OP.

I taught for a couple years after college and then went to law school.

My son worked as an editor after graduation because history requires a lot of research and writing(at least at his school). After a few years he got his Master’s in history and now has a good position with an educational media company.

I was a history major who went on to get a PhD and spent a few years as a professor (TT) before deciding that teaching was not for me. At that point, I transitioned to grantmaking, which has been an enjoyable career.
