Tryouts get messed up. Little practicing and March tourneys around the corner, let alone missed showcases. This is gonna suck

College ID on Friday is ON.
My kid has a game scheduled for Saturday 8am, with the real feel of 4 degrees. hard no.
I’m curious. How does that mindset help? I understand a snow storm as DMV folks forget physics and think that a 4x4 will help not help you stop so that is a safety issue.
Cold is not a safety issue. There is so much modern technology to stay warm. I grew up in the north and we never thought about the weather. How is allowing an uncontrollable element such as the weather help your child deal with unpredictable circumstances they will inevitably face in the real world? I am genuinely curious.

As a host club, I am sure they have a good shot at At-Large bids though.
Probably tough for a number of smaller and “winter” regional futsal programs too who won’t have RVA’s pull to get an at-large bid for a local national tourney.

Good. These events folks wants to hold the event so they don't have to refund teams. Crazy
Right — no refunds, but 40 percent off next year’s entry.
Is that for RVA or the Arlington Showcase?
Not a lawyer but this is what the Arlington Showcase registration "agreement" says: I understand that if the event is cancelled for any reason at all, Teams will be issued a refund once all expenses are paid and that Arlington Soccer Association is not responsible for any expenses your team may have incurred. This includes application fees, hotel costs, travel expenses or any other expenses associated with the tournament.
unsure what's let after Arlington "pays" off their expenses for a cancelled event.

Speaking with my director hat, do you think I’m going to turn down on a nice commission that will send me to Turks n Caicos with my shorty? Think again fool!
