This is your opinion. I highly doubt you know "a lot of people" who were recruited there.
I actually have 4 D1 lacrosse players in my family circle. 2 my own children with one who had significant interest from Northwestern. My player did not want to deal with the yearly battle of the transfer portal roster spot steal each season. I am also from the Midwest and grew up about an hour outside of Chicago so I know the program well and I have a lot of family and friends that know the program. My bff’s daughter is on the team. Overall I think in the past five years they’ve had 11 to 13 transfers that that’s a lot in addition to their class that they recruit and just alone in the 2026 class. They’ve had four major transfers from the portal. My friend’s kid probably may not see the field until senior year if at all.

2026 class
1. Olivia Adamson – Syracuse
2. Annabel Child
3. Jenika Cuocco – Drexel
4. Madison Epke

Touché

Touche -

The Portal is here to stay and all the top programs, regardless of sport, on both the Men's and Women's sides, are using it. This is especially evident in the schools from outside the traditional lacrosse recruiting hotspots (i.e. NW)

Regarding the cold - NW plays indoors until the weather warms up.

Annabelle Child graduated from Harvard with degree Annabelle Child graduated from Harvard with a degree and completed a fifth year of graduate studies due to an extra year of eligibility, I believe.

The Ivy League does not allow a fifth year, so any player who is redshirted or has an extra year of eligibility can use that fifth year to transfer to another institution and start a graduate degree on a full scholarship, usually.

Seems like a smart move to get your degree at an Ivy League and then use an extra year to get some free grad school paid for at a top-notch school too!

Besides the McDonogh and Maryvale girls - there is a GC/Olney player. Olney/Skywalkers doesn't count as Bmore?

No, Olney does not count as Baltimore.
