How does one get Vyvanse?

Vyvanse is for ADHD or for binge-eating.

Yes, I actually have both, lucky me! So doctor added to my regime.

Agree with others that you are on a starter dose. I went from .25 to .5 to 1 in 3 months. Lost 40 lbs in a year. Now I’m on .25 or .5 (depends) for maintenance.

how do you know that she is putting too much food? It could be a hormonal issue such as PCOS that is not letting her metabolize food faster.

You don't lose weight by taking a drug. You lose weight by being in a calorie deficit. The drug suppresses appetite to help you do that. You are still putting too much food in your face. Period.

This is not going to work unless you devote some time on your health, OP.

Op, are you not that motivated to go to gym or anything related with that? It could be possible that you are depressed and not feeling upto in doing work that is needed to lose weight.

There is the dose issue. It needs to be higher.

But think of GLP-1 as only a tool not the tool to deal with your issues.

The shots help. But you need to move to 3-5 days a week of working out or running or walking even. That will do a lot.

And then you need to change everything you eat and the way you think about eating. You have to have a breakfast. Tough to lose weight without it. But it is alos the rest of the day you need to change.

I do worry you do not have the right doctor who should be working with you on this.

Op here, I was around 210 lbs and hovering around 195ish or so these days. Lots of fat on abdomen and thighs and it also make everything else difficult. My PCP didn't prescribe me for ADHD so I am waiting to hear from my physciatrist. Hope that would help.

OP sorry to be blunt but do you have a doctor prescribing this that you have seen in the last year? Who knows how to prescribe GLPs? Increasing dose and how to get Vyvanse should not be mysterious.

Anonymous wrote:OP, I'm 45 with intense PCOS (inherited from both parents). Just completed 8 months on wegovy (4 months on highest dose) and haven't lost a single pound or felt any reduction in food noise. I have seen an improvement in A1C and can tell from my CGM that my blood sugar recovers from spikes more easily.

Now debating whether that positive effect is enough to stay on it. Digestive side effects have been occasional but are bad when they occur. I also can't eat any crucifers, which feels like a loss to my health. You aren't alone.

I'm planning to take a break for several months and then try a different med. PCOS is its own complex mess and people who aren't familiar with it will give you a lot of bad advice.

I don’t have PCOS, but I have loved ones that do. When you hear about people that can’t lose weight no matter what they do it’s always ladies with PCOS. You’d have to ask your endo whether you need to give it more time or if you’re just not responsive.

I hope you have better luck on a different drug. I’ve heard some great things about these drugs for PCOS when they do work.

4'10" 145 when I started Wegovy I lost a total of 4 lbs in 8 months. Terrible side effects I went off it.

Since then have started exercising more instead of just walking which has led me to lose 7lbs and feel better. Definitely my eating habits got better while using Wegovy. I am an emotional eater not sure how long this part will last.

However going to start zepbound this week. Nervous it will be a waste of money and that I will have side effects again.

I lost quickly on .25 (13lbs in the month), but I assume it was inflammation/water weight. I only lost 1lb in a month on .50. I am now on 1.0 and have lost 10lbs in 3 weeks - but some of that is attributed to stress. With the average it is just over 2lbs/week which is what I am aiming for.
