The clothes you buy from stores are covered in pesticides and starches. Used clothes are definitely less toxic than new.

I've been selling some of my clothes at consignment shops recently It's not a lot of money, but it's not $0 (I think I've probably made $400 over the last year). I went in to drop off some stuff a couple of weeks ago and actually bought something for the first time. It is dry clean only so I took it to the cleaners.

The consignment shop is picky but I am selective in what I take there and they've taken most of it, and have sold all of it. I am never sure how much I donate to thrift stores or elsewhere actually gets reused, so I feel better about knowing that consignment items will actually be reused.

I buy a ton of secondhand stuff. Local consignment shops, The Real Real, ebay.

Just wash in your washer or dry clean. NBD.
