They aren’t. Shrimp are a great source of low calorie protein. Buy the wild shrimp though.
They got a bad rep bc they are high in cholesterol, but cholesterol from food doesn’t give you high cholesterol. Farmed shrimp are questionable as well as their living conditions and diet are disgusting
