I give $109 bill in a card. Feel like this isn’t enough but I was stretched thin this year. Would never give a soap making kit.

Because my house cleaner has worked for me for 14 years and is a lovely person. I always giver a month's pay for a holiday bonus. Why? Because I like her and I can afford it and I'm not a cheap $h!t.

I apologized to our new cleaner who we've been using for our second home because I sent her a bonus via Zelle instead of putting cash in a Christmas card for her--I wanted to make sure she got it before the holidays and I don't have her address.

Is it easy for you to replace your cleaner? It's probably easy for the cleaner to replace you if she's any good at all.

Beyond being decent, it's just just enlightened self interest to generously tip and gift the person who cleans your home if you appreciate their help and want them to keep cleaning for you.

I've never had a service with different crews.

It’s not tacky maybe a bit out of the normal and less than what is typical which would be the price of one cleaning but you all are rude.

As someone who has done 1099 work, I would rather have this situation than a random 200 or whatever bonus. A long-term client who pays consistently, even a bit above the market, is worth more.

We give chocolates, a nice card, a Christmas drawing from our kids saying thank you and a cleaning's worth cash bonus. These women make my life so much better and I truly appreciate their hard work and how they often go above and beyond for our family.

And if you can't genuinely feel that way, you can at least be wise enough to treat people who have full access to everything you own respectfully!
