I think it’s interesting that so many of the parents went to the same school. Did you meet while you were there? Do you know other couples who met while at your school?

In what way? Rivalries?
VT and UVA are football rivals, maybe, but beyond that these schools aren't really rivals.
My question is how are you handling the disappointment that none of the kids got into UVA? I don't mean this in a bad or trolling way. It's an honest question. There's no way that you two Wahoos didn't want your kids at UVA.

It is pretty even but I would think those with larger discrepancies are more hesitant to post - so it’s not even.

Agree. Seems mixed bag. I haven't posted but DW- Ivy/DH-No name school: Kids to mid-tier privates. I guess an average of the prestige of Mom and Dad schools.

(My son did studio art and barely scrapes by - my husband wants to continue supporting him but I think he should move to a LCOL area and get a real job - whereas my girls are both financially independent)
