They've announced Dean's list already?

Not Deans List is not announced yet but you can calculate based on grades. Here is the criteria. PS - this is Engineering school.

Students in the fall or winter term need a minimum of 12 graded credits (pass/fail credits do not count) and a 3.5 GPA or better to earn the distinction of Dean’s Honor List for a term.

Wow just a 3.5 is really sad. Everyone is dean's list. You get a trophy! You get a trophy! EVERYONE gets a trophy!

Honestly, you’re sad. 3.5 has always been Dean’s List. It’s not easy to go through all the changes that entering college entails and get a perfect GPA. If your freshman comes home with a 3.5 give them a congratulations and a hug.

Loving Barnard. She is partying for sure, but loves the “quiet escape” on campus. She’s also very engaged academically. Studying hard but feels prepared. Looking forward to Rush after the winter break. Columbia/Barnard seems to have a very smart, sophisticated, worldly and curious population (at least the crew my kid has found).

And a great thing is that anyone with a pulse is on the dean's list!
