I have seen people put a basket with a bunch of clean new washcloths on the counter and a cute sort of mini hamper under the sink for used ones. I guess if all 100 of your guests are using the bathroom that spill be quite lot of replacing the fresh towel basket/unloading the mini hamper of used ones.

Get a tray and a stack of individual disposable towels. The ones a PP links to with initials is good. Or the kind that have a pattern on them.

The problem with the stack of towels is people will touch them with wet hands and get more than one wet. Dispenser is the way to go.

We have a lot of parties, and I can tell you that people stay for more than two hours and they use the powder room. I don't expect guests to "shake their hands," so I provide towels for them.
