One more for WES. We are so happy there and agreed about so many people being local to CC/Bethesda/Spring valley which makes play dates easier. Many Concord families end up at WES after they age out and my sense of things is that the communities and values are similar. I can’t speak to other schools on the list. Good luck!

Great feedback on WES. Thanks!

I drive it every day. It's great time with my kids but I start work a bit later (around 9:30am). But you can drop off as early as 7:15am and pay for Early Bird care or 7:45am for regular drop off. If you leave earlier, it is considerably faster. If you get there for 8am drop off, it's about 20 minutes for me from CC. Wednesdays and Fridays tend to take less time up River Road because Holton and a couple other schools start later on Wed and less people are commuting on Fridays.

The trickier part is where you commute to after drop off as the traffic into DC picks up substantially after 8am. The bus is super easy. Picks up on Brookville Road around 7:30ish. They are also open to adding new stops depending on need each year. The bus kids are all ages and we hear it's really fun.

I can't tell you how much we love Norwood. Our kids are very different learners/people and they are thriving and love school. Good luck with your search!

Thanks for this info and insight!

If we we were zoned for Lafayette, Somerset or Westbrook, we absolutely would. As it stands we are zoned for RHPS.

Thoughts on these options? Am I missing any? We're not interested in parochial or K-12s.

NPS has been fantastic for my 2 kids. Love the community and we've had excellent teachers that really get my kids.

I assume GDS and Sidwell would also qualify.

Those are k-12’s

K-12s fall under private elementary schools.
