Lord people. It was very fashionable. I get compliments every single day. Mostly because I don't dress like a frumpy DC woman. I am a lawyer and executive. I'm horrified by women in DC.

They are very much in style. I got some boots high and low at Weitzman online. $700 boots for $275. Most are sold out but they get new ones too.

FWIW I think they are very frumpy and dated and I'm surprised they seem so popular on this thread...
I like them when it's really cold out but I still want to wear a skirt or dress. I didn't break them out the last two winters, but it's looking like I might want to this year given how cold it is already.
