No, but I think a more relaxed attitude towards things like a second hole at 12 and in parenting generally wouldn't have had me rushing out the gate like a cooped up racehorse ready to do any and everything I had been told "no" to.
Assuming you are now a fully grown adult, I can’t believe that you aren’t taking responsibility for your own choices. Your parents didn’t “make” you rush out at 18 to get piercings. Sounds like you were still young and impulsive (totally normal) and you made some choices that made sense to you at the time.
My parents were insanely strict and I didn’t rebel or go wild in college - I did start making choices they wouldn’t have let me do if I had been living with them, but that were things I wanted. But I don’t have an impulsive personality, so I didn’t get more piercings until I was in my early 20s. I never got a tattoo because I couldn’t decide on anything I wanted to have on my skin forever.
