No, it’s not okay. No, I’m not excusing it. OP asked what effect this will have on kids with disabilities and as a parent of a HS kid I’m answering that.
Thank you for posting this. Does your kid have ID?
No. I didn’t want to post that because it wasn’t relevant. I happen also to be a special education teacher. I still think you are giving this way too much attention and this will not affect HS students in the slightest. Stop following him, OP, and you won’t see this stuff. And seriously, you should hear what is said in high schools in the classrooms.
Again. It’s not okay nor is a lot of what comes out of the mouth of my students or my own kids. Disability or no disability.
You think if she stops following Trump, she won’t hear this stuff??
The press reports it everywhere!

He used the r word as an insult. He has been doing it for years. But you know this. Everyone does. Or have you been asleep?
I am not a troll or asleep, I think he used a word properly.
Unacceptable according to whom? It has a literal definition of slow. It has been common usage for decades.
It has been unacceptable to use this term to mean “slow” for decades.
If you don’t know this you are perhaps a little slow yourself. But the more likely scenario is that you do know this and you’re trolling. Either way, GFY.
It was an improper word
