Funny thing, I would actually vote for him.

Doubt it. He's white.

Matt Frumin is a leader for our times. He will take the torch and continue to live up to the principles of Bowser, Marion Barry, and those who came before him. Courage. Strength. Conviction. He will continue to meet each new challenge with the same aggressive attitude needed to maintain DC's place as one of the great cities of not just the US, but the world.

The guy has never had a real job and still wearing the same clothes he bought in the 1980’s. He’s perfect.

To be fair, he has been an attorney for decades before running for council. Is that not a real job?

Janeese Lewis George actually gives a shit about DC residents. It's been so long since we've had a mayor who did. There is a reason why she's extremely popular in Ward 4 and it's not because she caters to conservatives and right wing freaks.

The suburbanites and the cowards who are too afraid to leave their homes without Dump's secret police force and the Guard standing around at Metro stations won't know what to do with themselves except whine on DCUM and call MPD over someone parking in front of their house.

She caters to the NIMBYs in her ward who are anti-progressive on every issue, eventhough she considers herself a progressive. No thanks. (and Kenyan is worse)

LOL, no, that isn't happening. He is already running for re-election in Ward 3 and does not have mayoral aspirations.

Adrian Fenty was the king of Green Team...Bowser was following his blueprint. Gray was the one who tried to clean it out and then got "swiftboated" by the Green Team and Washington Post.

Bowser was a moderate/conservative mayor who actually cared about all DC residents. I hope we don’t end up with someone who caters only to wealthy white residents as the previous PP is suggesting. We need a mayor for all.

I like her also, but what makes you think she is planning to run?

Randy Clarke would be a good option also.

But... might she run for Eleanor Holmes Norton's seat??? We so need a replacement for her - so she can retire with some dignity after a really admirable career.

Hey look, another low-IQ Bowser supporter who prioritizes building playgrounds for sports billionaires over prioritizing DC residents. Bowser has always been a minor league crony who caters to people who DON'T live in DC at the expense of DC residents. Thank God and G0d we'll finally be rid of her incompetence, her spite and her hatred for the people she supposedly serves.

F U, Muriel. Good riddance.

The stadium deal was a sickening abomination. But the Council deserves as much blame for not shutting it down.

Bowser is the worst mayor in DC history. I am thrilled she will be gone.

She’s not. At all. And talk about dumb comments - what politician in DC caters to conservatives? Or even caters to moderates. None. None is the answer. JLG only cares about residents who look and think like her.

I don't "look like her" (still being coy about race are you?), and I don't always agree with what she does, but I do feel like she approaches things genuinely, which is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the 2nd rate politicians we get around here.

Matt Frumin has been on the council for two years. Not really long enough to become mayor.

I don't care about clothes from the 80s. As long as he produces the results Marion Barry delivered in the 80s. then he is the leader we need.

He’s already exceeded Barry. He’s sat by and even been a cheerleader as crime has flooded his Ward. There are MPD units permanently stationed at multiple Ward 3 apartment buildings. Marion only dreamed of this.

Williams was excellent. Fenty and Gray were at least ok.
