A lot of times you can add the gift card to the store app (e.g., Target, Wawa) so don't have to deal with carrying the card around.

So go to the bank and get $2 bills. Or golden dollar coins. Get creative. You could put Sacagawea coins in like a little mesh pouch and hand those out.

I have no cash on hand anymore to the point where I avoid personal service calls where I can't tip through an app.
The crazy thing is I used to keep up to 15K in cash on hand, now I have no cash except for a few $1 bills
