I have a hard time believing Epstein was in jail but that there is a list of folks who used his services and none of them were charged.

Epstein was convicted of sec trafficking not abuse/rape. So that means there has to be proof that he sold the girls. There must be counterparties (ie people he sold girls to). Those names have to be documented somewhere.

Biden / Garland should have moved the case(s) along faster but they come from the world where a woman’s testimony is not enough (Anita Hill) so I am sure they felt the case(s) was not strong enough.

I think Biden was smart and experienced enough to know that it would have been a waste of time to focus on this case. Trump left a huge mess in his wake, and Biden did a great job of cleaning it up as much as he could in four years. Focusing on this case would have detracted from that, and most importantly, he knew that maga would not be deterred by it. We all knew about the Access Hollywood tapes, Stormy Daniels, rape/SA allegations, disturbing comments about Ivanka, etc. They had already proven that nothing is too low and that Trump is never held accountable. Why spend four years on something that would be shrugged off in a single news cycle?

I can list more than a dozen evil men who went to Harvard just off the top of my head. Why do people talk about a Harvard education as if it is something to be desired rather than avoided at all costs?

They are. Yale too. My theory is that the status attracts narcissistic sociopaths and their sociopathy and narcissism allow them to lie and cheat to build the kind of application you need to get in.

It is funny to read this. I got admitted to a Harvard PhD program (and another good school). When I went there to meet the current grad students, they were very unhappy, saying “Harvard is one of those places that looks better the further away from it you are.” The department also had fewer resources, so I chose the other school.

It struck me that many of those who chose that program at Harvard, despite its weaknesses, must be drawn to its name /status. Those are not my people.

Disagree on him taking his children down with him. He very unhealthfully views them only as extensions of himself, not as autonomous human beings, so he’ll aim to protect them as he would himself.

I really hope the DoJ leadership (who are lawyers) and Hegseth (who are telling young service members to KILL drug suspects , literally burning them alive) are imprisoned.

Congress deserves it too, for totally handing over their power despite what our forefathers wanted, but that guilt is much more diffused.

No. He's too stupid.

I hope not but this is my guess too.

I often think of that study from years ago that found happiness only increased with money up to 75k a year. I’m sure they’ve updated that with inflation or caveats or whatever, but honestly, I can’t imagine a single one of these filthy rich people are happy. Not a single one. They are just lonely people seeking more and more money/sex/power to make themselves feel something. And the only successful feeling they have figured out is how to feel like they are better than others. It is really insane to watch.

That study was debunked almost immediately after publication. Value of a marginal dollar decreases as total dollars grow, but not to 0.

I had this thought too. He knows a lot, and has very little left to lose.

You at the Onion.

That was satire written by comedian Paul Krasner

You can read it here: https://www.ep.tc/realist/119/03.html

The Epstein email is just a forwarded copy of that article.
