How could he possibly be having a bad day? Other than grocery shopping and dinner prep, he has zero responsibilities. I handle the bills, investments, taxes, housecleaning, yard work, even the holiday cards, plus work full time.

You need to give him a list to keep him busy. Sprinkle in some afternoon delights. It will do wonders for both of of you.

Some do. When I was in med school, one of the surgeon’s husband called while she was doing surgery to complain about the washing machine not being fixed yet. She was scrubbed in, so their conversation was on speakerphone, and we all heard it.

He was crazy, but it was honestly embarrassing for both of them. Because why would you be with someone who would treat you like this?

Is OP fat and an impulse eater? Then hiding the snack containers back on the shelf is the least of their health worries.
