Absolutely not, no. I also know I make a lot more than they do so not appropriate.

My sister does my taxes and has for years. She knows I work very part time to keep busy and to max out my a Roth.
My money comes from investments, an 'annuity', and part time job, which leads to fairly big refund.

I did this too. Coming out of school every salary increase was a big deal and I shared readily. As I progressed in my career and approached/passed my parents, I stopped.

No I don't, and I think family would be shocked to find out how much it is. My adult DS knows the range (i.e., over $1m), but not the precise amount.

My kids know how much DH and I make, as they should now that they are figuring out what they want to do in life. My parents and in-laws know I'm pretty sure. My sibling knows. I'm not so secretive in general and not so easily offended. If people ask me something I don't want to answer, I just don't answer. No big deal.

I don't share with my siblings, but they can obviously see our lifestyle. They occasionally make comments when we talk about budgeting or the costs of things which make me think they're far underestimating our actual income. I think that underestimation makes for way less awkward interactions though. If they knew we made literally 10X their HHI I feel like our conversations would get hella awkward. They wouldn't understand why we don't live like movie stars.

I did tell my parents we were set for life and didn't need to worry about money "forever" before they died. I didn't share exact numbers because it didn't matter, I just wanted them to know we had gone from poor to totally set and would be okay. It made us and them really happy to have that closure of our life story.
